Then you must grab a camera designed to survive the most severe conditions such as intense heat, extreme cold, massive shock and vibration, water, and even shocks!

The Nikon Coolpix AW (All Weather) 100 is a rugged digital camera that can withstand virtually all outdoor conditions and can still take great-looking shots and Full HD (1080p) movies. It comes with 16MP and 5x wide-angle zoom, is waterproof up to 10 meters and survive temperatures as cold as -10˚C and as hot as over 40˚C.

Shooting in the most coldest places of the planet such as Antartica and North America? It’s the ideal camera. I live in Canada and have experienced winter days I could not even put my nose outside but at -10˚C, I’m outside capturing great scenes, that’s for sure. And what about traveling to the hottest place in the world, like…say…El Azizia? This camera becomes a must. Truly a no-brainer.

You invest hard-earned money into a digital camera. When the weather’s bad, be it hot, cold or raining, you don’t want your camera to be damaged and we all know that standard cameras hate extreme heat and extreme cold.

The Nikon Coolpix AW 100 is also shock-proof, withstanding drops of up to 1.5 metres (5 feet), water-proof (up to 33 feet) and freeze-proof.

Upon reading my week-end newspaper, La Presse (Montreal) , I came across a small snippet talking about a website on which it seems, at first glance, that a video is loading up, but in reality, it’s a panoramic photograph taken at 360 degree in high resolution.

??

That caught my attention. I typed into my computer browser the given url link which navigated me to the Sistine Chapel Virtual Tour website:

Click on this image to access the Sistine Chapel Virtual Tour

Quite impressive ! And you can even zoom in by moving your mouse!

As if we were there……

Hear the choir? (brought back memories of the days when I was part of a choir…but that’s another story )

My imagination started to generate ideas of potential photos I could make with such a lense on my digital camera.

Hum….how does it work?

I googled on the topic and inside the first 10 results of page one , I was taken to the site of the Fastest, easiest virtual tour system on the planet and found an answer to my question:

It’s VERY simple!

The 0-360 Panoramic Optic™ attaches to your digital camera, and captures an entire 360 degree panorama with a single shot (no more stitching!). Here are the steps to making 0-360 panoramas quickly and easily:

Attach 0-360 Panoramic Optic™ to your camera.

Compose photo (Camera points vertically) and snap pix.

Download photo to your computer.

Use our software to convert the photo to panoramic format (easy).

Use our “Publish” feature to create the code necessary for web viewing.

Upload photo and code to your site.

You’re done! Now millions of people will be able to view your panorama!

No More Hassles

Never again will you need to snap 15-20 photos and stitch them together to create a panorama! With the 0-360, your panorama takes “Just One Click™ “.

No complicated virtual tour camera equipment!

No complex virtual tour software to use. Our software runs right in your browser, on both Macintosh and PC!

Go from taking hours to compose a single panorama to just minutes!

We even help create the code for your web page visitors to view the panorama!

The 0-360 Panoramic Optic™ is the fastest, easiest virtual tour system on the planet!™

Watch a short video on the website showing just how easy it is. You have to see this! Just click on the image below :

I’m sure you’re wondering about the price. I did too.

Surprisingly enough, retail price is a bit less than $600. I was expecting a retail price in the range of $700-$900. Nevertheless, it is not “cheap” and consequently, I subscribed to their affiliate program in hope I will send lots of people to their site to earn enough commissions allowing me to purchase this cool lense. ( just kidding, but true for the affiliate link )

Did any of you experienced shooting which such a lense ?

Share your experience with us by leaving a comment below. That would be great!

So I’m always on the look for new avenues to display my photos.

This line of thoughts recently led me to a book written by well known artist and photographer Martin Hurley titled “A Mini-Guide To Using Ebay & CafePress To Sell Your Photography“.

In the introduction, Martin declares that the Ebay CafePress idea did not originate from him, but he adapted same with his own twist , and added screen grabs in the book to illustrate the process.

Martin Hurley - Artist, Photographer & Infopreneur

“I have also used the idea with success. It does work. You don’t need to limit yourself to just framed photos though. You can list anything pretty much on Ebay with your photography on it.”

I purchased the book and read through the clearly written 26 pages in less time than it takes to cook my favorite dessert commonly called ”far breton” here in the French-speaking province of Quebec . The recipe originates from Brittany and is called : “farz fourn”. But I disgress here…let’s get back to photography.

Wow…I am truly impressed by this reading. It cannot be more easier than this to set-up and run a photography business to sell photos online! This is exciting.

In a nut-shell, here’s what it’s all about => Martin delivers a “hands-free” system that we can use to sell our photography products on Ebay, and CafePress will print, frame and ship the photo product, but our customer will actually receive it FROM us!

How can this be?

Well, I would explain here, but you’ll understand better by reading the Ebay & CafePress Guide.

Can you guess what I am going to do after I publish this post?

That’s right…I am going to apply this technique to a selection of my photography portfolios.

If you want to start right away selling photos online, give this a try right away and let me know if my recommendation helped.

.

PS: I’m on Martin Hurley’s mailing listing for a while now and can assure you that “he walks the talk“.
.
PS2: Do not hesitate to leave a comment below if you are already using this system. It will give all readers even more insight about the Ebay & CafePress product review. Thanks !

I’ve just finish reading Ingrid Owen’s report titled Choosing the BEST Digital Camera for YOU.

It answers the most frequently asked question when the need comes to purchase a digital camera:

“Which Digital Camera Do You Recommend?”

The introduction explains that it is more a question of first defining your needs, as it will then point you to the right camera.

That’s exactly what you will discover in this very informative twelve page guide:

* What features you really need…
* The differences between subcompact, compact and DSLRs cameras…
* What modes are the most useful…
* Where the best deals are..

On page 4, you will find a “Pros & Cons” analysis of the three major digital camera type, which displays the facts you need to know in order to take a good decision.

Throughout the book you also get explanations on megapixels, lens, shooting modes, screen sizes and additional accessories required.

This guide is not only for the first time digital camera buyer, but also for those who want to upgrade to a camera offering more features and others that need more control on their shooting.

Ingrid concludes with her personal recommendations of sites to shop online.

Other features include image stabilization, high-speed shooting, low-light shooting, and Sport Continuous Scene Mode of up to 13 frames per second.

Hopefully this list will help you find the perfect entry-level camera. Compare the features with your digital photography needs and, of course, your budget, to find the best point-and-shoot camera for you.

Even professional photographers use these compact cameras for situations when they cannot lug around a huge digital SLR camera. So don’t think that using one of these makes you an “amateur.”

The proof is in the picture. And if you’d like to take professional-looking pictures, then download your f-ree copy of the report, “Shoot Digital Pics Like the Pros.”

The above digital camera review was offered by the Desk of Learn Digital Photography Now.

I think it will help you define your needs before purchasing your new, or next, digital camera.

Happy shopping and all the very best!

With the Holiday season coming up, it’s time to prepare our camera, especially if we plan to shoot holiday lights at night.

As it is quite impossible to obtain sharp images when the shutter is open during a second or so, a tripod is a must.

If, by lack of space or difficult manipulation, or any other reason, you cannot use your tripod, you should consider using this very mobile and awesome camera platform called “The Pod”. Essentially, it is a beanbag with camera mounting bolt built-in that acts as a stabilizer.

Check out this video to see it in action…

What’s The Big Idea?

THE pods are very simple, high quality, flexible bean bags with built in 1/4″ universal mounting bolts.

THE pod will act like a tripod when set down or a stabilizer when braced against and handy surface.

THE pod can even stay on your camera when you are on the go. Perfect for group photos, travel, low light & night time and places where tripods are not allowed like museums, malls, churches, galleries, etc.

6 different models

THE pod greatly improves picture sharpness and color clarity by reducing or totally removing the hand shake that we all have.

THE pod can be set up in an instant on tables, rocks, cars, benches, railings or any other handy surface.

Set-up, shoot and move on…

IT’S THAT SIMPLE!

A few days ago, in the optometrist’s waiting room, I grabbed a french magazine on a nearby stand. What a surprise to discover it was about photography!

Great articles and many product reviews. One in particular caught my attention: the rapid camera strap RS-4 from BlackRapid.

The World's Fastest Camera Strap (Source: BlackRapid.com)

It wasn’t the strap itself that draw me to read the entire product review but moreso the first sentence of the article:

“Non, bien sûr que non, je ne suis pas en lacune de matériel pour que j’en vienne à écrire à propos d’une courroie photographique. Mais la conception est tellement efficace, tellement simple, qu’on se demande pourquoi cette étincelle d’intelligence ne s’est pas manifestée avant aujourd’hui. (…) ” Jean-Francois Landry.

Let me translate, to my best, in english:

“No, of course, it is not because I am in lack of subjects that I come to write about a camera strap. But the conception is so efficient, so simple, that we ask ourselves how come this spur of intelligence took so long to materialize itself..(…)

As described on the site, the R-Strap is worn diagonally across the torso from shoulder to hip and is ajustable to fit most photographers. The locking FastenR connects the R-Strap to the tripod socket of camera or lens. The camera hangs upside down, resting securely at your side or in your back, lens pointing behind you.

A perfect solution to the frequent neck pains when on trips shooting all day long.

If you are looking for a camera that is powerful, but compact, you should take a look at the Canon Powershot SD 1100 IS. This is a casual camera (not designed for professional photographers), but it is still very powerful.

It takes photos at 8 Mega Pixels, which is the current “big” for your average camera. 10 megapixel cameras are also cropping up, but of course are going to cost more. It is small and compact, and very easy to use. Having only a small experience using digital cameras (you understand how to turn one on and how to take a picture), you should be able to use the Canon Powershot SD 1100 IS.

One of the biggest benefits to this little camera is that it has advanced digital technologies that allow a beginner to take stunning photographs. It can work in any situation, spanning from a warm sunny day to a dark night (especially with the help of the built-in flash). The camera is fast to startup, so if you need to take a quick shot you won’t miss anything.

The Canon Powershot SD 1100 IS is built out of sturdy aluminum, so it can survive a bit of a rough trip around town in your purse or bag. The bright 2.5” LCD screen is great for viewing what you are photographing or viewing photographs taken in the past. Most digital cameras these days have around a 2.5” LCD screen, so this feature probably isn’t that exciting.

Although this camera has many high points, it isn’t a perfect camera. It is, though, a great camera for the price tag it wears. If you are more than the casual photographer, it probably isn’t the camera for you. It doesn’t offer the extreme control that some photo experts may desire. However, if you’re just snapping photos for fun and to keep up with the family then you shouldn’t have a problem.

You may need to purchase an SD Card to go along with this compact camera as it can only hold around 240 images with the built in memory. This is a decent amount, but if you plan on taking many photos before exporting them to your computer you may want to expand. The camera also might have trouble taking images of high-speed situations, such as sporting events. Photographs taken may appear blurry, as with any other camera.

Overall, the Canon Powershot SD 1100 IS is a great camera at a great price. As always, you might seek something more powerful, but this camera should fulfill the needs of a casual photographer.

While surfing digital photography sites, I came across Dan Feildman FREE Report and thought it would be fun to share it with you.

Summary of the Free Report:

The Internet has made it possible for even hobby photographers to make money with their digital photographs. This special report explains some basic information the digital photographer must know in order to profit online.

Free Product Details:

“How to Make Money with Digital Photography” is a free 20-page special report written by well known photographer Dan Fieldman.

Format:

Digital report (PDF)

Thoughts on the Product:

“How to Make Money with Digital Photos” is a quick overview of how to sell digital photos online through stock photo sites. The free report explains how stock photo sites work and how easily a digital photographer can make a living through them.

There’s enough in this report to get started with making money with digital photos, such as:

- how stock photo sites work and how to make money through them (page 7)

- the creative process of making money with digital photos (page

- which four subjects are always in high demand online (page 11)

- editing tips to take your photos from good to great (page 13)

- how to make more money by selling more photos (page 15)

However, the report only shows the tip of the iceberg. The opportunities for monetizing digital photography online are vast, and this report leaves the reader wanting to know more.

But the good news is ! the author provides the opportunity to gain in-depth knowledge through an extensive course on marketing digital photos online.

Where to Learn More: ==> Turn Your Photos Into Cash <==

Your digital photography is better exposed on stock photography sites than lying in the bottom of your drawer , notwithstanding the fact they can help you generate a monthly car payment to start with. Isn’t that cool?

Be sure to grab your copy!

To Your Success.
