An Indicator That Social Media Is Playing A Key Role in SEO
In this video, Matt Cutts, head of Google’s Webspam and Search Quality team talks about how Social Media marketing can converge with SEO results.
Therefore, it is imperative that all traditional and/or mobile sites gets compliant to the key factors that will determine their rankings in the Google SERP:

First, social search results will now be mixed throughout your results based on their relevance (in the past they only appeared at the bottom).
