Why should I have a blog on my website?
Why should I have a blog on my website?
I’ve been frequently asked this question: ‘I want to know the relevance of having a blog on my website… ‘.
It is a very good question and thought it would be great to share my thoughts on this subject right here so more people get to know my take on the topic.
First, giving that a website which objective is to be a virtual showcase for products and services, the content of its pages won’t change every day, or even every month, thus making it what we call a ‘static ‘ site .
Search engines, like Google, Bing and Yahoo, for their part, are always looking for ‘new content’, because their primary responsibility is to return to the user who performs a search on a keyword or a keyword phrase, the best sites on the web able to respond to its search request.
So publishing blog articles on your website, be it even once a month, on subjects related to your expertise, skills, products, services and solutions bring to those in need will transform your site into a ‘dynamic’ site.
Subsequently, when Google returns periodically to re-index all the pages of your website and discover new content through your blog, the indexing robots are simply jubilant because they can now add more keywords and more key phrases in the database to best serve their searching clients!
You now understand why Google has ‘fallen in love’ with blogs and the relevance of its presence on your website .
So, for a better ranking [SEO] of your website on search engines and to generate more trafic [visitors] be sure to give those bots ‘food’ at each of their returning visits on your blog. In other words, never leave them hungry for more keywords and keywords phrases….. 😉
