LinkedIn and Multilingual Posts: How to Effectively Encourage Readers to Click “See Translation”
When speaking to a bilingual or international audience on LinkedIn, one big question arises:
Should I post in multiple languages or trust LinkedIn’s “See Translation” feature?
LinkedIn automatically displays a “See Translation” link beneath posts written in a language different from the reader’s default settings.
This built-in feature is a great opportunity to gently invite your audience to click and engage, boosting both your reach and interaction in the process.
How the “See Translation” Feature Works
The “See translation” link appears under your post when the system detects a mismatch between the post’s language and the user’s preferences. It relies on:

Occasionally, their IP address for regional cues
In short: if you post in French, your English-speaking connections will automatically see “See translation” appear below your post and vice versa.
Why Encourage People to Click It?
Even when the link is visible, many users don’t think to click it especially if they “sort of” understand the language.
By kindly prompting them, you:

These phrases are discreet, friendly, and won’t disrupt the flow of your post for native speakers.
